A number of years ago Wendy asked Sarah and me what we did when we went to Egypt. We explained about the work of Stephen's Children and how they cared for thousands of children from the garbage dumps in Cairo and around Egypt. She was interested and loved to read the stories of the children. On 24th March 2022 we were having a meeting of the UK trustees in Normandy Gardens. Mama Maggie, the Egyptian lady who had started the ministry, was in attendance. After the meeting Mama Maggie was leaving for the train. I went quickly to tell Wendy that if she would like to meet Mama Maggie, then she should come outside immediately. Wendy met Mama Maggie and they looked into each other's eyes. Something happened in that moment that changed Wendy. She became a faithful supporter of the ministry and loved to have news from Egypt. Thank you Wendy for your generous support. We will miss you.
